Some work is ready to book before it is ready to schedule.
A workshop job, area run, fleet visit or dealer block might be confirmed before you know the exact time, order, or final plan for the day.
Work Groups give that work a place in MobiFlex. You can keep the customer, job, and location details together without forcing a fake appointment time.
What changed
You can now create reusable Work Groups for flexible bookings that belong together, such as Workshop, North-East Run, Fleet Work, or Dealer Jobs.
If a group needs space in the diary, you can reserve it.
That way, the diary shows the time is set aside, even before the bookings inside it have exact start times.
Assign a Place of Interest to a Work Group when the work usually happens at the same location.
Why it matters
Not every working day runs as a list of exact appointment times.
Some work is better handled in buckets: a workshop afternoon, an area run, a dealer block, a fleet visit, or a group of jobs you will work through as the day takes shape.
Work Groups support that way of working.
You can keep the booking details together, give the work a clear place in the diary, and still leave room to decide the final order later.
Where to find it
Go to Calendar, click + Add, then choose Reserve for work group.
To assign a booking, create or open a Flex Booking and use the Work group selector in the schedule area.
You can manage groups and fixed locations under Settings > Work Groups. Saved Places are managed under Settings > Places.
Good to know
- Work Groups work with Flex Bookings, but not timed bookings.
- Adding a booking to a Work Group does not give it an exact start time.
- Releasing diary space does not delete the group or its bookings.
- Bookings remain in the Work Group until completed or removed.
- Updating a Place of Interest later does not change old booking locations.
